Ahhh… Amiibos. These little figures originated 4 years ago on November 21, 2014 in the state of Nevada. In Japan, they originated on December 6th, 2014. Amiibos are used in many games, including Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS, Super Mario Maker, Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, and many more games. There are over 146 Amiibos at the time of this article! Amiibos are a series of Nintendo character toys that interact with multiple games on the Wii U and 3DS.
How do use Amiibos, you may ask? On the Nintendo Switch, a player scans an Amiibo by pressing down the right arrow on the left joy-con and scanning the Amiibo on the bottom right control stick. On the normal Nintendo 3DS, players have to buy an extension which costs about $20. On the new 3DS, players have to go to the game’s scanning area and tap the Amiibo on the bottom screen. On the Wii U, there is a NFC touchpoint on the bottom left corner, just tap it to scan it. That’s all for this article! If you have any questions, ask me in the comments below!
